As a mixing engineer I have mixed countless of artists. Besides my recording and producing jobs I also mix for producers/DJ's in genres like Techno/House and Future Bass. Mixing is a skill that, as with recording and producing, takes quite a long time to get a hang of it. Knowing what to do and especially what not to do is often hard to hear. What is the right amount of compression? Why is my mix not exciting enough?
These are questions you can only answer by having tons of experience and knowing the answer in the right context.
These skills I have developed over the years are now being taught to students in Rotterdam by yours truly. I am very proud of that fact!!
